Job Description

This is an on-site, full-time, salaried position with benefits, based in Frederick, MD.

As a member of the ArachnidWorks team, the Paid Media Specialist will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing paid media campaigns including Google Ads and across all social media platforms. This encompasses a wide variety of duties such as digital marketing, website analytics, content strategy planning, keyword strategy, and targeted digital advertising.

The Paid Media Specialist will be required to conduct and analyze keyword research, design and implement pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns, social media ad campaigns, and measure paid advertising performance analytics. This position is a client-facing role and the ideal candidate must be strategic and tactical in identifying the needs related to an array of clients and communicating them both in-person and virtual.


  • Work in partnership with other digital team members and leadership
  • Design, develop, and optimize paid search and social campaigns to drive conversions and ROI
  • Optimize, expand, and exclude paid search keywords to meet client conversion and ROI goals
  • Perform A/B testing to assess the outcome of campaigns and continuously enhance for better performance
  • Measure and report campaign performance with data and sound reasoning that can be explained in easy-to-understand terms
  • Conduct keyword and digital market analysis to identify consumer trends and competing brand strategies
  • Implement PPC advertising campaigns and SEO best practices
  • Manage and adjust advertising budgets to ensure maximum ROI
  • Assist in forecasting ad performance, lead projections, and ROI
  • Assist in planning and executing web, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, and display advertising campaigns
  • Perform competitor research, update content, and identify opportunities to differentiate our client’s brands
  • Work with UI designers to build optimal landing pages and optimize websites for lead generation
  • Meet with the design, writing, and marketing teams to define advertising requirements
  • Keep up to date with the latest advancements in search trends, PPC strategies, social media advertising, and SEO best practices

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Required Skills:

    • Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics Universal and Google Analytics 4
    • Strong understanding of paid keyword expansion and optimization to drive ROI
    • Strong understanding of how to build and optimize paid social campaigns to drive ROI
    • Strong ability to explain recommendations and changes to internal and external partners
    • Excellent knowledge of social media marketing platforms, especially Meta
    • Excellent knowledge of Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking setup is preferred
    • Excellent knowledge of Google Ads, Keyword Planner, and how to maximize ROI
    • Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics and how to pull data to support hypotheses

  • Additional Qualifications:

    • HTML knowledge is a plus
    • Google Analytics Certification a plus
    • Google Ads Certifications are a plus
    • Hubspot Certification is a plus

    Required Education/Experience:

    • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
    • 3-5 years of working experience in the marketing or advertising field with a focus on campaign management, lead/demand generation, analytics, and optimization
