The folks over at Medialets examined their mobile advertising data from November 1 – December 1, 2014, comparing consumer activity for the pre-holiday (Nov. 1 – Nov. 16) and holiday (Nov. 17 -Dec. 1) seasons. Along with a few key findings, the project also provided great ad data for a nice infographic which we have shown below.
Some notable findings of consumer activity include:
– in terms of mobile purchases, Black Friday beat Cyber Monday by a wide margin. While retail purchases from mobile ads increased by 157% on Cyber Monday, they were up a whopping 679% on Black Friday.
– the highest frequency of ad clicks occurred right before the big shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday
– depending on the industry, mobile advertising activity during the holiday period increased differently
